This firm is an unquestionable force in the industry, with an ever growing list of cutting edge clients originating from across the engineering and electronics fields. They are hoping to appoint at least one qualified patent attorney in London, although they can accommodate additional team members across any of their offices in the UK.
There is no risk of you becoming pigeonholed in this role, with the opportunity to work within cross office teams and collaborate on a diverse portfolio of technologies including aerospace and aeronautical engineering; defence; electronics; IT and software; manufacturing and construction; oil and gas; nanotechnology; and semiconductors. The clients span from innovative start-ups and sole inventors, to SMEs and multinational corporations based in the UK, US and Asia.
You will be responsible for the entire lifecycle of your clients’ portfolio, from devising an initial strategy and advising on the ways in which they can further leverage their IP, to securing all necessary protection from file through to grant and all ongoing management including defending any oppositions and advising on infringement and ways in which it can be avoided.
The firm offer a generous remuneration and an achievable bonus scheme, as well as a clear track to Partnership. Ideal candidates are hoped to have recently qualified with a strong academic background in electronics, engineering, physics or similar, although those with up to 5 years’ PQE will also be considered. The primary need for the role is London; however there are further opportunities available across the UK.
